Customized Real Food Meal Plans  

Today was another tired day. I did some housework, cooking and mommy stuff, but mainly I rested. I was moderately irritable and felt fed up with everything which tells me I definitely needed a break and a time out. I just wanted to order pizza for dinner and curl up on the sofa so I didn’t have to have anything to do with the kitchen. Sometimes, I really miss convenience foods. I had no urge to eat something so detrimental to my health as takeout pizza but wanted the ease of it for the three of us…not that hubs or munchkin can eat it anyway with his [recovering] diabetes and her allergies. Katie has also been very finicky with food lately and only has a bite or two of what I make before she’s unsatisfied and wants something else. That is maddening when everything is cooked from scratch. The “fun” foods that she cheated with over the last week was almost the only thing she was happy to eat, and it was so nice to take the pressure off. I know it’s not the best for her health or healing progress but it was good for both of our mental health, and that has to take precedence on occasion.

12 DAYS WITH NO DAIRY! I’m very proud of myself. 🙂 A definite first for me. I have been wanting it today but I think I’m low on nutrients, so tomorrow will be a big day for catching up on juicing, bone broth, and nettle tea.

I’m more than half way done now but it seems like this challenge is stretching on forever. I’m a true sprinter and bust out of the gate full boar but then tend to lose focus. Ooh! Something shiny…and then I want to chase the new shiny that takes my focus. I’ve been working very hard on learning to follow through when I feel it’s important to. This challenge being so short, I am definitely sticking with it. I’d feel pretty pathetic giving up now when there’s nothing holding me back from completing it. And I would absolutely regret quitting. I’m sure after a day or two, I’ll be raring to go again.
