It’s day one of blogging for me and it feels strange to join the ranks of so many of the ‘alternative’ food bloggers that have inspired me. If my 20 year old self could have only had a peek into my life now, I would have been stunned. My sink is shiny thanks to some great advice from the FlyLady (http://www.flylady.net/). The countertops are peppered with grains soaking in an acid bath, a sausage stuffer (doesn’t everyone make their own hot dogs?!?), rye sourdough starter bubbling away like some strange science experiment, and allergy-friendly cookbooks. I have eight webpages open that range from making my own toothpaste to fermenting sauerkraut. Little House on the Prairie meets the 21st century?!? Welcome to my world!
