The Paleo Approach: a Brand New Book for Your Healing Toolbox

As many of you know, my nutritional therapy practice is under a year old. I’m constantly research, learning, and trialing new healing modalities to add to my ‘toolbox’.

Flower essences and therapeutic use of essential oils are a couple of additions I’ve made over the last few months, and I just received my first clinical text on homeopathy.

Right now, I’m working on using diet and nutrients to affect mitochondrial function and gene expression. Research is the main reason that you haven’t seen too many new blog posts come down the pipeline.

I’m wallowing in nutrition nerdiness.

As I find things that work well with me and my family, they move into my practice, and then ultimately here to help you.

The Paleo Approach is the first product that I am recommending for your toolbox.

The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body

The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your BodyRecently, I received a review copy of a brand new book by Dr. Sarah Ballantyne, scientist, super nutrition nerd, and blogger at The Paleo Mom.

It’s designed as a comprehensive guide to reversing autoimmune disease, but it also works to correct so many other conditions.

It’s almost ridiculous how good it is. Sarah packed so much information into the book that she had to split it into two books –  what many of us are calling a ‘textbook’ and then a 150 recipe cookbook – just to get it published.

I’m now using The Paleo Approach as a research text in my practice and will be giving a copy to each and every client for their reference library.

It is my #1 go-to book for a broad yet in-depth overview to autoimmunity and healing dysfunction at the cellular level.

Featured eBook: 21 Day Paleo Cleanse (Autoimmune Paleo Compliant)

Featured eBook: 21 Day Paleo Cleanse (Autoimmune Paleo Compliant)I would love to turn the 21 Day Paleo Cleanse into a workshop. You get everything but the motivational coach.

I wouldn’t need to do anything but cheer you on from the sidelines.

With a comprehensive and easy-to-follow format, there’s nothing that nutritional therapist Neely Quinn from the Paleo Plan didn’t cover in this eBook.

Christmas Menu 2013 (GAPS, Autoimmune Paleo/AIP, Grain- & Gluten-free)

Christmas Menu 2013 (GAPS, Autoimmune Paleo/AIP, Grain- & Gluten-free)

Christmas at my house is filled with great memories. Growing up, my small family celebrated by opening up presents and then going to my Nana’s house for dinner.

Our traditions were to prepare the same favorite Southern classics each holiday and to gather together and reminisce by telling stories of the past.

New Traditions

Since hubby and I got married, we’ve hosted both sides of the family at our house and my small, quiet Christmas got kicked up a notch or two.

Five people became fourteen, and a combination of Italian and Southern classics with a new focus on allergies has turned dinner on its ear.

This year, there will only be one dish that we have to avoid — Nana’s cornbread stuffing. My mom will bring it for the purists.

Everything else will be a combination of the classics with a new spin on healthy, allergen-free, and mostly Autoimmune Paleo compliant. It will also be ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS because that’s how we roll.

The Autoimmune Paleo Protocol: Could This Be IT?

Always listen to your instinct, right?

For the past few weeks, the Autoimmune Paleo Protocol and I have crossed paths pretty regularly. Since I don’t have an autoimmune disorder, I didn’t pay much attention and filed the idea away for future client use.

And then this happened…
