Customized Real Food Meal Plans

Today was another pretty good day. Not perfect, but how can it be with such a limited diet? I COULD NOT have any more broth or anything cooked in it. My body was threatening mutiny. Katie’s loves her meat so is handling it better but has been pretending that her food is myriad versions of cupcakes, pancakes, cheese and crackers, etc. My first attempt at faux pate was ‘chocolate ice cream’ thanks to daddy. 🙂 She was just happy to have the same food as kitty and didn’t even need the renaming. We’re transitioning George the lady cat to a real food diet, since she came to live with us a few months ago.

Hubby’s noticing that Katie’s more articulate and her vocabulary is expanding. Though she lost close to a pound in the first couple of days, now that I’m adding copious amounts of fat into everything she eats she seems happier and is no longer losing. I hate trial and error on my child. It sucks. On a better note, I’ve lost 5 pounds this week. I haven’t been too hungry and my body’s taking the chance to shed all the toxic fat that I accumulated when I stopped nursing Katie last February. I’m embarrassed to say I still have 20 more to go.

Short synopsis. I had to have some eggs, so I made soft-boiled eggs & gave Katie about a 1/4-1/3 of a teaspoon of the partially hard-boiled yolk for dinner. She just had a meltdown getting out of the bath and said her tummy hurt & needed Colic Calm, our version of activated charcoal. :sigh: Eggs are out for Katie for now at least.

Today’s foods:
1. short ribs covered in water & cooked overnight in the crockpot
2. boiled green beans in water
3. chicken breast, leftover broccoli soup with chicken skin and fatty bits from yesterday, & the plate of boiled broccoli in water that I made for myself
4. soft/half way to hard boiled eggs for me, beef faux pate for Katie – last bit of roast with leftover gobs of fat in a bit of broth whirred up in the food processor – and warmed, & boiled peeled zucchini and carrot in water for both
*strangely enough all the veggies boiled in water were a nice change!

I forgot to note! Sauerkraut juice started on Tuesday, about 1/2 t for Katie and 1 T for me daily. No other probiotics started.
