Cranberry-Apple-Cider

Best sipped snuggled up in front of a roaring fire or out in the crisp autumn air, spiced cranberry apple cider is the perfect way to enjoy the chilly months. It’s a perfect alternate to hot cocoa once winter white comes sweeping in and sends us diving for the blankets.

Let the cranberries brighten your palate while the spices warm you from head to toe.

Spiced Cranberry Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, unsweetened
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients into 1 qt saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Turn down and lightly simmer for 15 minutes, 20 minutes for a more concentrated drink.
  4. Enjoy hot or cold.

Bonus recipe: Freeze the stewed cranberries in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Instant frozen cider-soaked cranberries for those who love a chilly treat!
